Elephants in Botswana

Elephants in Botswana

The Brief:

Create an objective short film about human-wildlife conflict in Chobe, Botswana, home to the highest concentration of elephants in Africa. Why? To align Journeysmiths, a luxury tailormade travel specialist, with a balanced and learned approach to conservation while producing a film that could be published by The Telegraph’s specialist Africa travel pages.

The Challenge:

It’s important to understand the nuances surrounding conservation in Africa, especially concerning the African elephant. In some regions there are lots, while in others, hardly any at all. Working alongside national tourism partners and the Marketing team at Journeysmiths, we collaborated with the NGO Elephants without Borders to promote their campaigns and deliver a final edit that was not only balanced but inspiring.

The Results:

Published by The Telegraph across their Travel channels, the film supported a wider print and online campaign, inspiring safari holidays to Southern Africa. The film was also used by local NGOs such as Elephants without Borders to assist in their campaigns, alongside tour operator Journeysmiths. SPC collaborated with the Rusty Mokoro to bring this vital story to life.
