A Food Tour of Northern Ireland - Tourism Ireland

A Food Tour of Northern Ireland - Tourism Ireland

The Brief:

Move slowly around Northern Ireland on a bicycle, while meeting fascinating food and drink producers along the way. Not only promoting the region as a great place to cycle, but also as an unsung destination to discover exceptional produce.

The Challenge:

In the height of summer, Northern Ireland isn’t known for its inbound tourism, especially from elsewhere in the UK. We therefore wanted to change that mindset through a short film that felt personal and energetic, while also looking and sounding beautiful. Collaborating with a small crew of talented shooting producers based in Belfast, the SPC team worked with Tourism Ireland to film in the Morne Mountains, Armagh and Lough Neagh.

The Results:

A beautifully produced film that championed Northern Irish produce, such as the Armagh Bramley Apple, which is given Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) status. The film was shortlisted in several travel media awards and published online within a Sunday Times Travel campaign, championing unsung corners of the UK.
